Thorn bushes do not bear grapes, and briers do not bear figs. A healthy tree bears good fruit but a poor tree bears bad fruit.

Spiritual fruit makes us think of the fruit of the Holy Spirit; love; joy; peace; patience; kindness; goodness; faithfulness, humility and self control. Living a life in the Holy Spirit makes us bear fruit of the Holy Spirit, which everybody loves. They are the likeness of Christ, the aroma.

As says in the Gospel, a healthy tree bears good fruit. Live a good life in the Holy Spirit to bear good fruit. Be prayerful, reading the word of God and keeping yielding to the Spirit that the fruit of a disciple is so marked by faith, hope, love, justice, prudence, fortitude and temperance.

Mother Teresa singled out other spiritual fruit. The fruit of silence is prayer; the fruit of prayer is faith; the fruit of faith is love; the fruit of love is service; and the fruit of service is peace. This is the secret of Mother Teresa and her congregation of sisters serving the holy poor of Calcutta in the slum of India. Living good witnesses as Christians by the ‘Fruit of the Holy Spirit.’ Alleluia, Alleluia, Amen.

One that would have the fruit of  The Spirit must climb the tree of faith.
