Goliath, a Philistine challenged the Israelites every morning and evening for forty days. 1  Samuel 17:16

Goliath was nearly three meters tall and wore heavy armors. His spear was as thick as the bar on a weaver’s loom, and its iron head weighed about seven kilograms.

The height of Goliath was half a body higher than others. He was very huge, very proud and arrogant. He continued challenging for forty days with arrogant and defying words. Every Israelites soldier and even Saul were afraid of him. Hearing all this disgraceful words, David said to king Saul; “I will go and fight him.” 1 Samuel 17:31

David took his shepherd’s stick and five smooth stones with his catapult went to meet the Philistine, Goliath was filled with scorn when he saw David, such a young boy, teased him very badly. David said to Goliath, ” You are coming against me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the Israelite armies, which you have defied.

Goliath then started walking towards David again. He just took out a stone which he slung at Goliath, hit his forehead and broke his skull, fell face downwards and died. David defeated and killed this giant with a catapult and a stone out of five. It was only one stone had David used. With God, David won the battle, he killed the giant.

We all have a giant in our heart in disguise. By the grace of God, let us kill him.
