If you become angry do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day. Ephesians 4:26
The lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why that scowl on your face? If you had done the right thing, you would be smiling; but because you have done evil, sin is crouching at your door. It wants to rule you, but you must overcome it.”
Cain was angry because the Lord was pleased with Abel and his offering. Abel offered the first lamb born to one of his sheep. He rejected Cain and his offering. Cain offered some of his harvest to the Lord.
Seeing this, Cain began jealousy in his heart which led into sin of murder. When they were both out in the fields, Cain turned on his younger brother and killed him.
Anger led human being to commit the first sin of murder in the human history. Anger started off first place in the heart if not well control would lead to other sins. They are jealousy, deceit, betray, and so on.
It was the same with Joseph, son of Jacob, was jealous by all his other elder brothers plotted evil on him. They also thought of taking his life, to destroy him from their sight. They then made up strong and told a lie to their father.
Therefore, it was said in Ephesians if you are angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin and do not stay angry all day to give the devil a chance to work his deeds. It was advised that we must not let the sun go down on our anger.
To keep anger in the heart is advised to deal with it before sunset. Tomorrow should be a new day to start everything afresh. Everyday is a good day created by God for his people to live, to love, to come and to be friends with one another.
Anger can not solve anything, but it can destroy everything.
