Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith as you were taught. Colossians 2:6-7

Jesus, ten days after his ascension, sent the Holy Spirit to fill his apostles and other of his believers with the power of the Spirit to be witnesses for him in Jerusalem. Jesus knew that the apostles were weak in strength and power with his absence.

He was being crucified and was no longer in their midst. They all needed the Holy Spirit in their lives to fill them, mold them and use them to live the Christian’s life to its fullness. The Holy Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self-control; Galatians 5:23 which put to death human nature with all its passions and desires.

The Holy Spirit who lives in us would keep on renewing and changing us to the likeness of Jesus Christ. Day after day in our walk with the Holy Spirit, we would live the commandments and keep its rules enabling us to take up the foot steps and live up to the standard which Jesus had set as an example for us while on earth.

To live the fullness of life in Christ, we must live the life exactly like him especially in his intimacy in seeking the ‘ Heavenly Father ‘ before dawn. Seek and look for him in prayer to receive insight and wisdom for the sake of the kingdom of God. To know his will and to be ever forgiving to say, ” Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. ”

We find the fullness of life in Christ not in others.
