Jesus said to his disciples, ” If anyone wants to come with me, he must forget self, carry his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24

Jesus, the Son of God carried his own cross to Mount Calvary. He was willing to carry out his mission and fulfill the Father’s will.

In the first place, he was willing to be sent, born in a manger and lived the life of a carpenter. Despised and rejected in his hometown, Nazareth, living a simple life. He even had no place to lay his head.

He chose twelve to be his apostles, where one betrayed him. Judas was not willing to come with Jesus to the end. He was not willing to carry his cross. To carry one’s cross is to lose life, but Jesus assured us that whoever wants to save his own life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for his sake will find it. It is no use for anyone to win the whole world but loses his life. There is nothing he can give to regain his life. For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will repay everyone according to his deeds.

As believers of Christ Jesus, all have our own cross to carry on earth, so as for us to win the battle. To be able to carry our own cross towards the end like Jesus Christ, our Lord; one have to abandon self, and to totally empty oneself. So as to be naked focusing on Christ, meditating on him, in silence and live the way of the life of Jesus Christ, the Lord. This is suppose to be willingness above more than willing.

If God changes your heart, be willing to change your plan.
