This, then is what I command you : Love one another. John 15:17

Jesus is love and he commanded us to love. To love one another, animals and all things. We did not choose him but he chose us. He chose us to share and enjoy his love.

The greatest love a person can have for his friends is to give his life for them. This is the standard of the love of man. The love of man started to change its nature when Cain killed his brother, Abel. His supreme sin was that he tried to hide his sin. He had no regret for his sin of murder at all.

When God sent his son, Jesus, he was the new standard of love. To love one another, to accept one another and to forgive on another. His teaching was entirely different of the world.

He taught his disciples to love their enemies and pray for those who persecute them, so that they may become the sons of the Father in heaven. God makes his sun to shine on bad and good people alike, and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil. Why should God reward you if you love only the people you love? The tax collectors and the pagans are doing likewise. Be perfect – just as your father in heaven is perfect !

Jesus’ love command us to live his standard. He is all loving, forgiving and enduring. Jesus loved people into the kingdom and forgave all sinners by dying on the cross for salvation and he is still enduring our rejection and denial. He is still speaking to us ; love one another through out eternity.

In the end nothing we do in this lifetime will matter as much as the way we have loved one another.
