Jesus said : Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. Luke 11:9

One day when Jesus finished praying, one of his disciples said to him, ” Lord, teach us to pray. ” And then he taught them the teaching on prayer. Jesus, son of God was a man of prayer mentioned in the gospel. He used to pray on the mountains every morning before dawn. Jesus taught one particular prayer and it was the Lord’s prayer.

After this prayer, he added on, ” And so I say to you : Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. These were the three elements in the life of Jesus which had enabled him to carry the cross to Calvary.

He sought the Heavenly Father every morning on the mountains so that he could keeping on knocking at the doors of our hearts to open unto him. He prayed and asked for the grace of God to fulfill his will on the cross for salvation of the whole human race.

Jesus knew a father would not give his son a snake when he asks for a fish, a scorpion when he asks for an egg, and a stone when he asks for bread. Bad as you are, know how to give good things to your children. Surely the heavenly Father would give you things you ask for. Good things out of the bad things which he wanted to give unto you as a blessing for his love for you.

A saying which says, ” Ask, and it shall be given; give and you will be given. And Jesus concluded : ” How much more, then, will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! ” The Father in heaven gives us the Holy Spirit as we give out lives.

Greatness is not what we have, it’s what we give.
