Do your work, not for mere pay, but from a real desire to serve. 1 Peter 5:2
Be examples of God’s love through the life we live and the words we say. Love for the Lord and tell others about Him for the good news of Jesus Christ who came into the world in humility as the Savior and worked on salvation.
Peter appealed to ” God’s chosen people ” to be shepherds of the flock that God gave, to take care of it willingly. To be examples to the flocks by doing the work, not for mere pay, but from a real desire to serve. To rid themselves of all evil, no more lying or hypocrisy or jealousy or insulting language but put on the apron of humility to serve one another; for the scripture says, ” God resists the proud, but shows favor to the humble. ” Humble yourselves, then, under God’s mighty hand so that he will lift you up in his own good time.
Be obedient to God and do not allow our lives to be shaped by those desires of the flesh. Instead, be modest in our thinking and let God transform us inwardly by a complete change of mind to be able to know the will of God – what is pleasing and perfect to him. Do everything possible to live in peace with everybody and never take revenge for the scripture says : ” If your enemy is hungry, feed them; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. ”
For the sake of God’s great mercy, love must be completely sincere and hold on to do good. Live a godly life to be a living sacrifice in dedication to his service with a heart full of devotion with true worship too.
The best testimony is a Godly life.
