If you know me, you will know the Father also. John 14:7

Just when Jesus was about to go to the Father, he said to his apostles, ” Do not be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. ” They would soon need to discover another way of living with the risen and present, though invisible, Christ.

Jesus’ ascension to the Father was opened for all of us a way to our House in God. Jesus said there are many mansions for everybody. Each one would be in his own mansion, being in communion with all.

Thomas said they did not know where Jesus is going and would not know the way. And Philip asked to show them the Father but through Him. Whoever sees Jesus sees the Father for He is in the Father and the Father in Him.

Therefore it is important to know Jesus as knowing God, the Father. All that Jesus says, he does not say of himself. The Father who dwells in Him is doing his work. We must believe that Jesus, the son is in the Father and the Father is in Him; at least believe it on the evidence of the works that he is doing. He became man precisely so that we might see the Father in him. He followed the Father’s way so that meditating on his actions, we would progress towards the truth and arrive at life. Christ is in the Father and the Father in him. They establish their dwelling within us; no one comes to the Father but through me, said Jesus.

You know much if you know how to live.
