For the Lord corrects those he loves and chastises everyone he accepts as a son. Hebrews 12:6
Jesus, son of God suffered so many contradictions from evil people, yet never be discouraged. He endured denial and even death on the cross, scorning its shame, and then sat at the right of the throne of God. He persevered in enduring the pain, sorrow and hardship marked out before him. Jesus who is in the Father and the Father in him needs no correction. He endured such so that we would not be discouraged or grow weary.
The comforting words that wisdom addresses as children : My son pay attention when the Lord corrects you and do not be discouraged when he punishes you. For the Lord corrects those he loves and chastises everyone he accepts as son.
Consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the results is the ability to endure. James 1:2 What you endure is in order to correct you. God treats you like sons and what son is not corrected by his father? In order to receive the direction from God you must be able to receive the correction from God. Besides, our parents according to the flesh corrected us as they saw fit, with a view to this short life; but God corrects us for our own good that we may share his holiness.
All correction is painful rather than pleasant; later it brings the fruit of peace, that is, holiness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11 When God permits suffering, He also provides comfort.
We know trouble produce endurance. Endurance brings God’s approval and is approval creates hope entering into the family of God, the saints and the angels.
In the midst of sorrow, faith draws the string out of every trouble.
