For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matthew 12:34

The mouth speaks of what fills the heart. A good person produces what is good from the store of good within himself, and an evil person produces evil from his evil store. Likewise, we can know a tree by its fruit; a healthy tree bears good fruit and a poor tree bears bad fruit. Thorn bushes do not bear grapes and one who always criticizes and accuses would slander whatever is good because he has an evil heart.

God will judge each one according to his conscience. He will not judge us from outside as people do; from inside will come the light that will show our sins. Your words are windows to your heart. We are, by this, far, far away from God the judge. A good example were the Pharisees who used to slander whatever is good because they had an evil heart full of hypocrisy.

The learned and the clever think they know but they do not know what is essential as the both sisters; Mary and Martha did. There are many things which seem necessary in family yet, only one thing is needed for all; to listen to Christ when he is present. Martha offered her material services to Jesus when he wished to give her eternal riches. She was working and serving and did not have the time to be with Jesus. Jesus is peace and the person who does not attend to him in peace does not receive him and thus Martha who was busy with all the serving finally said and complaint that she herself was the only one who did all the serving. A way of serving and working feverishly which leaves us empty and let us then learn  a lesson from this to know words are widows of our heart. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, says the Gospel.

True goodness springs from a man’s own heart.
