Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7

What God has promised, He will do because he is faithful in his promises. Jesus is the true Vine and the Father is the vinegrower. Jesus invites us to remain steadfast, in the midst of the world as the branch remain part of the vine to bear fruit. As he prunes every branch that does bear fruit, it may bear even more fruit by itself but has to remain part of the vine; so neither can we if we don’t remain in Jesus. He says : If you remain in me and my words in you, you may ask whatever you want and it will be given to you. My Father is glorified when you become my disciples, that is, when you bear much fruit (John 15:7-8).

Jesus is the vine, so each of us has to consider how he is joined with him through prayer and keeping his word. Every believer has to bear fruit in his service or a life silently offered to God. All Christians are the body of Christ and the success of the church is not measured by its achievements, but by the progress of those who interionize Christ’s mystery and share in his cross and resurrection.

” Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you ” is not a promise that God will answer every prayer we utter, but rather a promise that He will respond to every longing for personal righteousness. Faith has no power in itself. It only counts when it is based on a clear and unambiguous promise from God by grace.

Jesus the one who died for us also walks with us.
