Let us be content with having food and clothing. 1 Timothy 6:8

The love of money is the root of every evil. Because of the greed, some have wandered away from the faith. After the first years with the predominance of an enthusiastic faith, the church found that even for believers, everything was lost when the love of money persisted. Attachment to money makes us lose our trust in God and separates us from the rest. People of depraved minds and far from the truth are concerted and to them, religion is merely financial gain.

Paul reminded Timothy to avoid all those dangers to strive to be holy and godly from greed to be ” A man of God “, witness of Christ – as Christ was a witness of the living Father. To fight the good fight of faith and win everlasting life to which he had been called.

Command the rich of this world not to be arrogant or to put their trust in the uncertainty of wealth. Do good, be generous and be rich in good deeds to share with others. Those who strive to be rich fall into temptations and traps which plunge them into ruin and destruction.

In reality, religion is a treasure if we are content with what we have. Faith in the Lord and to have a respectful and humble attitude towards this treasure entrusted to us to be transmitted to others.

We brought nothing into the world the day when we were born and will leave it the way we came. By faith, trust in the providence of God and be content with having food and clothing everyday while on earth. In this way, we shall heap up a sound capital for the future and gain true life.

The art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have.
